Massachusetts Court System
Massachusetts is one of the states that does not "approve" or certify mediators onto a court roster, or require ongoing training requirements. The court has its own in-house court mediators for family/small claims cases, but few can match the exacting standards required of membership to NADN. (link

Massachusetts Bar, ADR Standing Committee
The Bar's Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Standing Committee is working to make ADR an integral part of the judicial system and a first step in resolving conflicts, not an afterthought. The Committee aims to allow practitioners to share experiences and offer members CLE opportunities to increase their neutral skills. (link)

Massachusetts  Council on Family Mediation (MCFM)
MCFM is a non-profit organization established over twenty-five years go by family mediators interested in sharing knowledge and setting guidelines for family mediation. is the oldest professional organization in Massachusetts dedicated to family mediation. With over 250 members, MCFM sets standards to guide the professional practice of family mediation in Massachusetts, and offers a certification program for qualified members. (link)

The National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals is an association whose membership consists of mediators and arbitrators distinguished by their hands-on experience in the field of civil and commercial conflict resolution, and by their commitment to the practice of alternative dispute resolution. 

Membership is by invitation only and all Academy members have been thoroughly reviewed and found to meet stringent practice criteria. Members are amongst the most in-demand neutrals in their respective states, as selected by both peers and local litigation firms.
